apart from the computer what other hardware do i need to access the internet ?

• you will need a router to connect your computer to the telephone line and access the internet
• sometimes your internet service provider(ISP) will give you free router when you sign up
• if not you can buy one here

 what software will I need ?

• you will need an internet browser to access the internet
• microsoft internet explorer comes free with Windows
